As a result of the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, travel is being heavily regulated or outright forbidden worldwide. Since physical travel is not currently an option, I'll be curating a series of virtual visits that allow us to explore the wonders of Paris and its surrounding regions from the comfort of our own homes.
Tune in on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for the foreseeable future for new content, including visits of museums, monuments, and neighborhoods in Paris, and beyond.
Up first: a brief history of the city of Paris, from its Gallo-Roman origins through the Middle Ages. This short visit sets the stage for the "deep dives" into Paris' art and history that will begin next week.
NB: The primary venue for this content is the stories feature on my Instagram page. All of the virtual visits will be saved in my story highlights. The purpose of the blog posts is to allow a greater audience (especially those without social media accounts) to benefit from the same content.
With that in mind, let's start exploring!
That's it for this first virtual visit! See you back here on Monday March 23 for our next adventure: a "deep dive" into the Île de la Cité and the Sainte-Chapelle.
